    homemade cake
    three-course meal
    fine views
    animal smell
    lack of privacy

Saltcotes Farm is a treasure! I was welcomed with homemade cake and tea, a true delight. Sarah whipped up a scrumptious three-course meal on Sunday, packed with local flavors. The Bay Horse pub, just a 10-minute jaunt, offered fine views of Morecambe Bay and was a fab spot for a hearty meal.

Though the room had charm, the animal smell lingered a bit too much for my taste. I was surprised by the lack of a door between the bedroom and the en-suite, which might be bothersome for some. A shower would have been a fab addition over the bath, too.

Got lovely room with chocolates - always come in handy. Hotel's location was amazing and marvellous, to the beach or Canal foot. The staff, everyone, was excellent and wonderful.

The staff was excellent and wonderful, as well as host. There were exceptionally comfortable beds and an iron/ironing board, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a dining area inside the room. Garden view was worthy. The vibe here was quiet.

    Homemade treats and local flair

The cute atmosphere at Saltcotes Farm was amazing. After settling in, we were delighted with homemade cake and tea. The well-sourced breakfast ingredients and Sarah's splendid three-course Sunday dinner were highlights. With our dogs running freely and the fine countryside around us, it was an idyllic retreat.

While the charm of a working farm is appealing, a few concerns arose, such as the stale towels and occasional animal scent in the rooms that detracted from the overall experience. The lack of a lock on the room door and minor maintenance issues also posed challenges .

Saltcote Farm, off the beaten track, offers a good stay. The room cleanliness could be improved. Enjoyed nearby bike tours and beautiful walking paths.

    stale towels
    cold shower

I expected a good countryside retreat but was met with stale towels and a cold shower on my last night. The warm hospitality i anticipated was overshadowed by my supposed 'shared' bathroom situation. I almost considered giving a glowing review, but the lack of special treatment really ruined it for me. Absolutely appalling!

    rustic charm
    garden view
    animal smell
    room privacy
    breakfast confusion

Rustic charm with a working farm atmosphere makes for a unique experience. The garden view from the room really adds a serene touch.

The pervading smell of farm animals can be quite strong, possibly off-putting for some. Expect a lack of separation between the bedroom and en-suite, which might bother those looking for more privacy. The breakfast situation was confusing, and I missed out on a Continental offering due to a misunderstanding about what was included. Rooms felt somewhat dark and could use more cleaning to enhance comfort.

The garden view was super pretty and i loved the homemade cake and tea with the warm welcome. Everyone was super chill and friendly. Enjoyed exploring the farm with my dogs and the breakfast was yum, especially those honey sausages. Perfect place for some r&r and the location was nice and peaceful.

the cleanliness could have been better, and i was surprised that there wasn't a door between the bedroom and bathroom which might be awkward for some.

The warm hospitality from Sarah and Danni made the experience good, along with the room's comfort and the beautiful surroundings that encouraged exploration. Breakfast options were delicious, but the initial confusion over the pricing left me wanting clearer communication regarding meal choices.

    Good Hosts and Scrumptious Meals!

Sarah was warm and cute, meeting us with homemade cake and tea. The breakfast was a hearty English affair, and Sarah even prepared a delicious three-course dinner for us. Plus, the scenic locations nearby made for perfect short walks, including a fine Buddhist temple. The room could use more space for two people, as it felt a bit cramped.
